Shenzhen FinTech Association (SFA)， founded in 2005, is a local, professional, non-profit, technology-neutral social organization that serves financial innovation. The association is mainly composed of financial institutions and related financial technology enterprises. It is a 5A social organization in Shenzhen, and the most characteristic and active financial CIO community in China.

The Association is currently chaired by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It has about 190 member organizations, covering influential financial institutions and technology enterprises such as Ping An of China, WeBank, Guosen Securities, Bosera Fund, Huawei, and Tencent.

Adhering to the “member-oriented, professional-based” philosophy, and committed to the mission of building a “harmonious, symbiotic and vibrant” FinTech ecosystem, the Association has formed three work modules, including membership service, park operation, and talent certification. Each module complements and promotes each other, and the work of the Association has been fully recognized and endorsed by the government, industry and specialists.

Building a series of brand activities and creating a platform for industry communication

In technical exchanges, SFA focuses on professional fields and hosts the Bay Area FinTech Salon, which has successfully hosted more than 50 sessions.

In resource integration, SFA coordinates various resources and hosts the Bay Area FinTech Matchmaking Conferences.

In large-scale events, SFA hosted the China (Shenzhen) FinTech Development Forum, which has been successfully held for 10 consecutive sessions; In recent years, it has undertaken and co-hosted the China (Shenzhen) FinTech International Festival to discuss cutting-edge trends in FinTech and share the results of innovation and development experiences.

In industry networking, the Bay Area (Shenzhen) FinTech Spring Gathering held by the Association every year is an important networking platform for FinTech circles in Shenzhen.

Building a highland where talents gathered and providing strong talent support

The first “Bay Area (Shenzhen) FinTech Talent Season” has been held for 4 consecutive sessions. The talent season uses cloud recruitment models such as “air double choice+live streaming” to provide a two-way selection platform for supply and demand, serving for the middle and senior talents in the industry, providing nearly 10,000 jobs and attracting nearly 100,000 Talents of all kinds to participate.

It takes the lead in organizing well-known institutions of higher education in the Greater Bay Area with financial institutions and FinTech enterprises in Shenzhen to establish a joint FinTech internship base. More than 50 enterprises and 10 well-known universities participated in the construction.

Undertaking Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao FinTech Professional Program (SHMFTPP) certification, it has organized 7 Level I examinations, 3 Level II examinations, and 3 Level 2 training sessions. With a total of 7,400+ candidates, SHMFTPP has cultivated more than 2,200 Level I certificate holders and 200 Level II certificate holders.

Setting a benchmark for park operation and promoting industrial agglomeration and upgrading

Entrusted by the Futian District Government of Shenzhen, SFA acts as a professional service agency for Futian FinTech Dual Parks (Bay Area International FinTech Center & International FinTech Ecological Park). Its mission is to cultivate an outstanding FinTech industry cluster representing the Bay Area, assist the government in attracting business and investment to the park, and help resident enterprises to connect with policies, capital, markets, and talents.

Futian FinTech Dual Parks have gathered all forces to build a first-class industrial ecosystem. After more than four years of development, it has established the “three rapid” operating model: rapid gathering of high-quality enterprises, rapid formation of an industrial atmosphere, and rapid growth of resident enterprises. And forming four major characteristics：a robust industrial atmosphere, concentration of high-end elements, formation of a geese pattern, and professional service support.

Up to now, nearly 30 physical enterprises have settled in, nearly 70 virtually registered in the Dual Park. Among them, 3 are listed companies, besides, more than 10 have completed multiple rounds of financing. The total valuation of the enterprises residing in the park is over 50 billion yuan.

Carrying out special projects and gathering momentum for development

Under the promotion and guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau, SFA formed the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao FinTech Alliance, the Shenzhen FinTech Ethics Committee, and established branch of FinTech Professionals, and the Network and Information Security Professional Committee.

The Association assisted the Futian District Finance Bureau in carrying out the selection process for the “Xiangmi Lake FinTech Innovation Award” for 3 consecutive sessions, continuously creating a favorable environment that emphasizes valuing and supporting the development of FinTech.

The Association also jointly launched "Top-20 FinTech Unicorn LUDUAN in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, which is published every two years, with the aim of selecting a group of high-growth FinTech enterprises with outstanding competitive advantages, strong scientific and innovation capabilities, and great potential for future growth in the Greater Bay Area.
